Wow! I was expecting a good audio translation, but how do they manage the different mouth formations of each word?? Have you had native/experienced speakers check the accuracy?

More thoughts: this is one of the reasons actors are on strike, no? If such a tool (free, doesn't require much content fed in) can mimic your voice and make speaking look natural, what's stopping bad actors or Hollywood (or any other) studios from using someone's likeness to create an entirely fake movie/sit-com/ransom/?? video

Oh yeah, this touches on a huge topic of discussion all over -- US govt, EU, UK, China, and more. The possibility of this tech being used for 'deepfakes' is already a reality. (See this Washington Post article, for example: https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/2023/10/03/tom-hanks-ai-ad-deepfake/) Use in entertainment and advertising are awful, but the possibility for doing awful things in government is very scary. Already, the voice clone capabilities are being used for 'fake' ransoms. (See this Guardian article: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/14/ai-kidnapping-scam-senate-hearing-jennifer-destefano) This seems to be the 2023/AI version of the Nigerian "send me money" email schemes that went around when email was new.

AMAZING! I love this! I would never have known you weren’t a native speaker. Very cool technology.

I'm struggling to figure out many practical uses for this, but it is just darned fun!! The set of languages is limited at the moment -- no Croatian unfortunately, so you won't yet be able to send videos to any of the folks you guys ran across in your travels. But maybe one of these days!! Hope all is well ;-)
