I don't speak fluent Italian or Polish ... or do I???

It’s Friday … let’s have some fun with tech!

Here’s our user story:

• As a … nonprofit Communications staffer

• I want to … record a “Welcome” video in a bunch of different languages to put on our website landing page

• So that … people in need of our service who don’t speak great English feel not only welcomed, but invited, to see how we can help

Basically, we want a bunch of videos, each in a different language, sharing the same message — we’re here, we care, here’s what to do next.

There are many ways to tackle this, with or without assistance from AI. I’m going to share one today that I found to be particularly “fun” (to tie into the “Friday Fun” theme) using AI-enabled tech on HeyGen.¹

First I’ll show the results, then I’ll explain how I got there.

How’d I do that?

HeyGen offers many options for working with videos. I chose the Video Translate feature:

1. Transfer the original English video from phone to a computer

2. Browse to https://labs.heygen.com/video-translate, sign up for the free plan, and upload the video

3. Choose the target language & click Translate this video

4. Wait for what may be a long time…³

5. Download the resulting video!
