đ¶ On this tenth dAI of Christmas, StrefaTECH explores ⊠Ten Tech Resources đ¶
Interested in keeping up with whatâs going on in tech and AI? Pick a couple of these to follow (in addition to the writings of the thought leaders I featured in the eighth dAI of Christmas!)
I mentioned Nathaniel Whittemore as a favorite thought leader of mine. His flagship publication is The AI Breakdown, a daily newsletter and podcast. If you want to come up-to-speed a bit or already know a lot and want to learn more, the AI Breakdown is a good start. The daily podcast starts with 5 minutes of updates on a variety of happenings and is followed by a deeper dive. And his weekend âlong readsâ are typically very thought-provoking, particularly on topics related to ethics and safety.
For those in the nonprofit world, TechSoup offers a wide array of free webinars each month on all things tech. Subscribe to their newsletter for announcements and check out topics of interest!
Digging into a very hot topic for nonprofit organizations, Laura Quinn (founder of Idealware) publishes a great newsletter and is a frequent LinkedIn author.
If you want to learn more about AI technology and trends, listen to this weekly podcast. Itâs usually over an hour long and covers research, commercial, safety, and AI use topics. When I first started listening back in March, I was a bit overwhelmed for a while; but now, I look forward to their insights and understand most!
Published by the New York Times, this podcast is both entertaining and informative. And coming from the Times, the content is well-researched and often features notable guests, including notably an interview with Sam Altman of OpenAI two days before he was fired in November.
Microsoft Tech for Social Impact
This newsletter certainly features Microsoft products and offerings, but also frequently has timely information about whatâs happening in technology and AI.
Want to have daily, direct insight into how crazy the pace of innovation is in AI? Check out this newsletter, which is guaranteed to induce hyperventilation if you dare try to check out the list of apps in even one issue! But there also are often some nice nuggets, and I find myself searching my email folder now and again to dig up some special use of AI to try (e.g., logo creation) and appreciate having these saved in my trove.
This podcast from The Verge journal covers a broad spectrum of technology, including notably lots of hardware. Itâs entertaining and can be eye-opening to the changes in areas outside of AI and apps, but it also often includes good insights into whatâs happening in the software market.
More on AI, this newsletter is a daily quick read of topics ranging from legal happenings (e.g., Supreme Court rulings) to ChatGPT tips.
One final AI newsletter ⊠The ProHuman AI is yet another that covers lots of topics. I find it a good, quick inbox item to browse, file, or delete. It is notably good at providing quick assessments of tools, including comparisons, so I tend to check it out more frequently than some of the others.
Conclusion
When it comes to reading and listening to learn more about tech and AI, thereâs no shortage of options! Invest in a few items that work well for you, and as alwaysâŠ
